Seeking public assistance in Forest Heights shooting

We are investigating after a man was shot in the southeast community of Forest Heights over the weekend.

On Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at approximately 2:20 a.m., we were called to the 3500 block of Fonda Way S.E., for reports that a man had been shot. Upon arrival, patrol officers located a man suffering from gunshot wounds and provided emergency first aid. The man was transported to hospital, where he has since been released.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Based on a review of CCTV footage, it is believed that the suspect and victim travelled on foot together from the Franklin LRT Station to Fonda Way. Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from this area between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., is asked to contact police by calling 430-266-1234.
