Seeking public assistance in five Calgary bank robberies

The Calgary Police Service Bank Robbery Team is releasing CCTV images in relation to five unrelated bank robberies in hopes of identifying outstanding suspects.

The robberies occurred between February and August 2016 and are not believed to be connected to each other. Detectives have followed up all investigative leads in each case and are now asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects.

The cases are:

#1 - Case #16066003

On Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at approximately 3 p.m., an unknown man entered the CIBC located in the 400 block of East Hills Boulevard S.E. He approached a teller and produced a robbery note demanding money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank

He is described as Caucasian, between 35 to 40 years old, 5’6” tall, with a medium build, blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing construction clothing with tools in his pockets. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#2 - Case #16143830

On Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at approximately 11:25 a.m., an unknown man entered the Scotiabank located in the 6300 block of 30 Street S.E. He approached a teller, indicated it was a robbery and verbally demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank.

He is described as Caucasian, in his 60s, 5’10” tall, with a medium build, a moustache and glasses. He was wearing an olive-coloured baseball hat, checkered beige jacket, dark pants and work boots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#3 - Case #16165616

On Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at approximately 2:30 p.m., an unknown man entered the BMO located in the 8200 block of Centre Street N. He approached the teller and produced a robbery note demanding money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank.

He is described as darker skinned, in his mid– to late–20s , with a medium build, black hair and a goatee. He was wearing a white jacket with a black collar and black stripes down the arms, a black baseball cap and jeans. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#4 - Case #16362468

On Friday, June 24, 2016, at approximately 4:20 p.m., an unknown man entered the Scotiabank located in the 2200 block of 68 Street N.E. After waiting in line, he approached a teller and produced a robbery note demanding money. He then put an undisclosed amount of cash into his overalls and demanded more money from a second teller. The man fled the bank before obtaining money from the second teller.

He is described as Caucasian, 6’ tall, wearing overalls, a safety vest, glasses and a baseball cap. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#5 - Case #16362468

On Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at approximately 10:30 a.m., an unknown man entered the RBC located in the 3900 block of Richmond Road S.W. He approached a teller and made a verbal demand for money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank.

He is described as Caucasian, 35 to 40 years old, 5’8” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a red baseball cap, red hoodie and blue jeans.
