Seeking public assistance in extortion investigation

Download

We are looking for the public’s help to identify two individuals and a vehicle that were involved in a property damage incident last week. The incident is believed to be connected to an ongoing series of extortions targeting the South Asian community.

On Friday, June 12, 2026, at approximately 5:15 a.m., two individuals caused damage to three vehicles parked outside of a residence located in the 300 block of Skyview Parkway N.E., before fleeing in a grey Ford Expedition. Previously, an extortion-related shooting occurred at the same location on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Officers from our Organized Crime and Offender Management Section are investigating and believe that the two incidents may be connected.

The first suspect was wearing a black jacket, black pants and white shoes.

The second suspect was wearing a coral-coloured hoodie, a black jacket, blue jeans and black shoes with a green logo.
