Seeking public assistance in copper wire thefts

We are looking for the public’s help to identify three suspects who were involved in a targeted break and enter that occurred in the city’s southeast.

On Monday, March 17, 2025, at approximately 3 a.m., three unknown suspects broke into a business located in the Foothills Industrial area and stole five rolls of copper wire, believed to be valued at over $50,000. In an effort to gain access to the site, suspects backed a truck and trailer through a fence, causing damage to the fence.

The suspects were observed leaving the area in a dark-coloured Dodge Ram 3500 dually, towing a white enclosed trailer. The licence plate attached to the trailer has since been confirmed to have been stolen. It is believed that a second dark-coloured truck was also being driven in tandem. To prevent further victimization, the business’ name and exact location are not being shared.

Our District 4 Break and Enter Team has been assigned to investigate and is looking for the public’s help to identify those involved. Anyone who may have dashcam footage from the Foothills Industrial area between 2:40 to 3:15 a.m., on Monday, March 17, 2025, is asked to contact police.
