Seeking public assistance – serious injury collision

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a serious injury collision.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, a 63-year-old male was riding his blue 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle south in the far right lane of 68 Street S.E., approaching Memorial Drive S.E. The motorcycle veered to the right and struck a traffic signal pole. The man was transported to hospital where he remains in serious condition.

A witness indicated that a newer white, four-door sedan style vehicle with tinted windows, possibly a Honda or Toyota, may have been involved with this collision. Investigators are currently looking to speak to the owner or the driver of this vehicle.

Video footage from the area shows several individuals were present at the scene during the time of the collision.
