Seeking public assistance – road rage assault

We are looking for help from the public to identify two men involved in a road rage incident that led to the assault of one man.

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a mother was teaching her 18-year-old son to park in an SUV in the 6100 block of Fourth Avenue N.E., when a white pickup truck pulled up aggressively behind them. The driver of the pickup truck drove around their vehicle, made a U-turn and parked next to the SUV. Two men exited the pickup truck and made attempts to enter the victims’ SUV. The son exited his vehicle to protect his mother, at which point he was assaulted with a weapon. The victim’s mother called police and the men fled the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. He has since been released.  

Investigators have collected CCTV from the area and are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects and their vehicle.

The first man is described as having a light complexion, 5’8” to 6’ tall, and was wearing a navy T-shirt, black pants and may have had a face mask on.

The second man is described as having a light complexion, 5’8” to 6’ tall, with short, dark hair and possible facial hair. He was wearing a black hat, a white T-shirt and black pants.

The white pickup truck is believed to have been a 1999 to 2007 white Chevrolet Silverado, with an object extending out of the box. 

It is also believed that there may have been additional witnesses travelling in a white Ford Fusion, who may have filmed the altercation. We are asking these witnesses to contact police.
