Seeking public assistance - northeast robbery

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify a woman who may have information about a recent robbery.

At approximately 6:50 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, the victim was walking on a bike path near the 3500 block of 20 Avenue N.E., when an unknown female approached her from behind. The woman demanded the victim’s wallet and then sprayed the victim in the eyes with an orange substance. The victim was able to walk to a nearby store for assistance.

In the hours following the robbery, someone attempted to use the victim’s credit cards at several locations, including convenience stores, along Rundlehorn Drive N.E. and Memorial Drive S.E.

Police are releasing two photos from CCTV of a woman who may have information about the robbery.
