Seeking public assistance - March 3 shooting

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify a vehicle and a person believed to be related to a shooting downtown earlier in the month.

Just before 5 p.m., on Thursday, March 3, 2016, police were called to the 1200 block of 12 Avenue S.W., for reports of a shooting. A man was observed exiting a grey Hyundai Sonata and shooting at a grey Ford Taurus. The shooter then returned to the Hyundai and fled the area. No one was injured as a result of the shooting.

Police are releasing photos of what is believed to be the Hyundai Sonata that was involved in the shooting. It is believed to be a 2011-2013, four-door model. Photos of a man who may have information about the incident can be found on The City of Calgary Newsroom, along with photos of the suspect vehicle.
