Seeking public assistance - BMO bank robbery

The Calgary Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance in relation to a bank robbery.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., today, Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, a man entered the BMO, located in the 2500 block of 32 Street N.E. Once inside, he approached the teller, engaging him in conversation. The suspect then handed the teller a note, indicating he was armed and that the teller was being robbed.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the bank.

No one was physically injured and no property damage was incurred as a result of the robbery.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 28-years-old, 5’10” – 6’ tall, with an average build and dark blonde hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball hat backwards and a black hoodie.
