Seeking information in Crescent Heights shooting

We are asking for the public’s help to identify two vehicles believed to have information regarding a shooting that happened last week in Crescent Heights.

At approximately 9 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, police were called to the 200 block of 11 Avenue N.E., for multiple reports of gun shots. Upon arrival, police found evidence of a shooting and a male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

At this time, it is not believed that the victim knew the individual, or individuals, responsible for the shooting.

Investigators have identified two vehicles they believe to have been in the area at the time of the shooting, a silver Nissan Versa and a turquoise or blue Chevrolet Spark, and believe the drivers of these vehicles may have information about the shooting. Stock photos of these vehicles are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

“Gun violence in Calgary’s neighbourhoods is very concerning and we are working to understand what happened here and who may be involved”, said Staff Sergeant Keith Sylvester of the General Investigative Unit. “If you or someone you know was driving in the area around the time of the shooting, please reach out to our non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.”
