Seeking assistance in robbery investigation

We are looking for help to identify four individuals who may have information about an incident where a couple was robbed at knifepoint in the commmunity of Marlborough Park.

On Saturday, May 15, 2021, at approximately 8 p.m., a man and woman were walking in an alley behind the 5600 block of Memorial Drive N.E., when they were approached by unknown offenders. The male and female victims were separated, at which time one of the offenders brandished a machete-type knife and assaulted the male victim before robbing him. The offenders then fled on foot down the alley towards 47 Street S.E., where the female victim was also robbed and bear sprayed.

EMS attended the scene and transported the male victim to hospital.

Investigators canvassed the areas for CCTV and are looking for the public’s help to locate four people who were in the area at the time and may have information about the robbery.

The first person is described as a male, with black hair, approximately 5’11” tall, with a slim build, and was wearing a black and white Kappa track suit, a red shirt, two gold chains, white shoes, black sunglasses and carrying a black bag.

The second person is described as a male, approximately 5’11” tall, with a slim build, and was wearing black pants, a black Bench shirt, black baseball hat, black sunglasses, black and white shoes, and carrying a dark-coloured bag.

The third person is described as a female, approximately 5’1” tall, with a slim to medium build, pink and blond hair, and was wearing a white and black shirt, black pants, white shoes and carrying a black bag.

The fourth person is described as a female, approximately 5’6” tall, with a slim build, black hair, and was wearing a white and black jacket, grey pants and sandals.
