Second man arrested in 2024 Brentwood homicide
Police have charged a second man in relation to a fatal home invasion that occurred in January 2024 in the northwest community of Brentwood.
At approximately 9:15 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, we were called to a residence located in the 0 to 100 block of Braden Crescent N.W., for reports of a home invasion. Upon arrival, police located one man deceased and two others injured inside the residence.
An autopsy was completed on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, confirming the identity of the victim as John Wayne DAVIS, 53.
On Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, Jarvais L. EISNOR, 44, was arrested and charged in relation to this incident.
The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit has now charged a second man in relation to this homicide.
Troy Jordan LEMKE, 40, of Calgary, has been charged with one count each of manslaughter, unlawful confinement, robbery, break and enter and two counts of aggravated assault in relation to the death of DAVIS and the two others who were injured.
LEMKE will next appear in court on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Our Homicide Unit continues to investigate as we believe others may have been involved in the death of DAVIS.

Sean Gregson of the Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit. “As the investigation has progressed, we have collected and analyzed forensic evidence which has led to two individuals being charged. This evidence, coupled with persistence of our investigative team, has allowed our investigators to conduct several interviews with those involved, and those who may be aware of the details in relation to this incident. These interviews continue to bring clarity to the investigation for our officers and the family of the victim.”
