Search ongoing for mother of newborn baby

Shortly before 5 p.m., today, Thursday, March 19, 2020, we were made aware of a newborn baby left alone in the area of Ogden.

Officers responded to a call at a residence in Ogden, where upon arrival, they were told by a woman that she found the baby while out on a walk with her dog.

The baby, that could be up to a few days old, was found in the area of Ogmoor Crescent and 76 Avenue. S.E., in a box, covered with a blanket.

The baby was taken to hospital by EMS, where she is in stable condition.

At this time very few details are known and our primary concern is for the wellbeing of the mother.
