Rundle shooting now double homicide

A second man who was injured during a shooting on Dec. 30, 2019, in Rundle has died.

At approximately 3:45 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, police received multiple reports of shots being fired in the 100 block of Rundlemere Road N.E. No one was located upon police arrival, however, a short time later two shooting victims, both men in their 20s, were dropped off at hospital in critical condition. One victim was later declared deceased.

The first deceased victim was identified as Keem GENG, 22. He died as a result of a shooting.

The second victim died on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020. Following an autopsy on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, the second victim has been identified as Achor JAL, 22. He died as a result of injuries sustained during the shooting.

JAL’s death brings the 2019 homicide total to 21.
