Rental fraud suspect arrested

The Calgary Police Service has arrested a man wanted in connection with identity theft and rental frauds around the city.

After a member of the public provided information on where he was staying, officers took Carlos Arnoldo REYES-RIVAS, 46, of Calgary, into custody late the evening of Saturday, June 4, 2016.

REYES-RIVAS is charged with five counts of identity theft, three counts of fraud over $5,000, three counts of fraud under $5,000 and two counts of theft under $5,000. He will next appear in court on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

The Calgary Police Service would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in locating this individual.
