Recovered body identified as missing man Colton HAMMONDS

With the completion of the autopsy and next of kin notifications, we are able to share the sad news that a body recovered in the Bow River on Sunday, March 14, 2021, is that of Colton HAMMONDS.

Mr. HAMMONDS, 22, was last seen on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, in the Beltline community and a media release was issued in hopes of locating him. Unfortunately, his body was located last weekend near the Harvie Passage. His death is not believed to be criminal in nature and out of respect for the privacy of his family, no further information will be shared.

A body pulled from the Bow River this weekend, on Sunday, March 21, 2021, is expected to undergo an autopsy on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Further information will be shared once formal identification and next of kin notification has been completed.
