Ranchlands homicide suspect arrested

We have arrested a man wanted on warrants in relation to a fatal shooting in the northwest community of Ranchlands that occurred on New Year’s Day.

Samiul TURZO, 20, of Calgary, was arrested without incident on Monday, April 3, 2023. He is charged with first-degree murder in relation to the homicide of Stallone Leonard Mark CLARE, that occurred on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023. TURZO is also charged with the attempted murder of a second man, who was injured in the same shooting. The second victim has since recovered from his injuries.

TURZO is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
