Public tip leads to recovery of stolen property

A tip from a member of the public has helped us recover a stolen vehicle and a variety of other stolen property.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, we received a call from a resident in the southeast community of McKenzie Towne, who noticed a suspicious truck parked in the 200 block of Prestwick Estate Way S.E. The truck appeared to be loaded with a large quantity of items in its bed.

We arrived at approximately 6:45 p.m. and confirmed the vehicle had been stolen. The truck contained several items also believed to be stolen, including power tools, three bicycles, a full set of rims, two generators and a printer.

The vehicle has since been towed, and we have notified the registered owner of its recovery. We are now working to identify the rightful owners of the other property so the items can be returned.

The investigation into the stolen vehicle and property remains ongoing.
