Public assistance sought in northeast hit-and-run investigation

We are asking for the public’s help to advance an investigation into a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian that occurred last month in northeast Calgary.

At approximately 11 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, a woman was struck by a vehicle while using the crosswalk at the intersection of 32nd Avenue and 34th Street N.E. The woman was not seriously injured but required medical attention. The driver of the vehicle that struck her did not remain at the scene or report the incident to police.

The vehicle was described to police as an older model, raised, black Ford pickup truck with a push bar or bull bar on the front. The driver was described as a White man between the ages of 30 and 40 with a short beard, a moustache and brown hair.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has information or dashcam footage related to this incident or the driver of the truck, is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
