Police seize drugs and weapons during downtown arrest
We have charged an 18-year-old man and seized numerous amounts of harmful drugs and weapons following a report of drug trafficking on Dermot Baldwin Way S.E. in the East Village earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at about 12:15 p.m., a member of the public called us after observing an individual engaging in behaviour consistent with drug dealing on Dermot Baldwin Way S.E.
Officers responded, quickly located the individual and arrested him for drug trafficking.
Upon searching the suspect, officers located a variety of weapons, drugs and related paraphernalia hidden on his person and within a duffel bag he was carrying. The following items were located and seized:
- 126.3 grams of fentanyl; estimated street value: $12,630
- 21.4 grams of methamphetamine; estimated street value: $428
- 147.7 grams of other drugs; estimated street value: $13,058
- Multiple knives
- Hatchet
- Brass knuckles
- Bear spray
- Collapsible baton
- Browning Bar II rifle
- Live seven-millimetre round
- Scale
- $179 cash
- Two cellphones
In relation to this incident, Pride Kevin ENGLISH-BULLCALF, 18, has been charged with:
- One count of possession of methamphetamines for the purpose of trafficking
- One count of possession of other drugs for the purpose of trafficking
- One count of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Two counts of carrying a concealed weapon
- One count of carrying a concealed weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- One count of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- One count of possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm with ammunition
- One count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
ENGLISH-BULLCALF will next appear in court on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026.
