Police seek witnesses in hit-and-run collision

We are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run collision that occurred last November in the northeast community of Bridgeland-Riverside.

On Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at around 9:30 p.m., a black 2015 Mazda CX5 was travelling westbound on Memorial Drive N.E., between Deerfoot Trail and St. George Drive N.E., when an unknown red vehicle struck the victim, forcing the vehicle off Memorial Drive, striking a pole. The red vehicle then fled the scene. The victim, the lone occupant of the Mazda was transported to hospital in serious condition.

After reviewing CCTV footage in the area and exhausting other investigative avenues, police are now asking the public for their help in identifying the driver of the red vehicle.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police by calling the non-emergency number 403-266-1234. Tips can also be left anonymously through Crime Stoppers:
