Police seek witnesses in graffiti incident

We are seeking public assistance to identify a group of people who are believed to be responsible for spray painting graffiti in a public park.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 1, 2021, it is believed that four individuals graffitied the outdoor stage area at Prince’s Island Park, causing substantial damage to a highly-utilized public park and facilities.

Photos of the graffiti and of the suspects are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

Police encourage citizens to immediately report acts of graffiti, vandalism or any property damage so that they can be properly investigated, and all possible evidence gathered in a timely manner.

It is illegal to deliberately deface property, and such offences will be investigated by law enforcement as property damage.
