Police seek to identify ATM break-and-enter suspects

We are asking for the public’s help to identify two people believed to be responsible for four separate attempts to break into ATM machines in Calgary from October to December of 2024.

Between Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, and Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, four commercial break and enters were reported to the Calgary Police Service. After reviewing the CCTV footage, investigators now believe the break and enters were committed by the same two individuals at the following locations:

·       Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, in the 200 block of Crowfoot Crescent N.W.

·       Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, in the 8500 block of Eight A Avenue S.W.

·       Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, in the 2900 block of Richmond Road S.W.

·       Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, in the 6400 block of Bowness Road N.W.

CCTV footage of all four incidents shows two people entering ATM vestibule areas between 2 and 4 a.m., and, in some cases, spray painting the security cameras before attempting to gain access to the vault area of the ATM through various methods. Only one attempt at accessing the cash held in the vault area has been successful. In all attempts, the suspects have fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival.

We are now turning to the public in hopes of gathering information on the identity of the two men.

It is believed the suspects drove different vehicles throughout the incidents, however, in two of the incidents, the suspects drove a grey 2015-2016 Dodge Caravan, and a grey 2012-2014 Audi Q7. It is unknown at this time whether the vehicles were stolen.
