Police seek public assistance to locate stolen medical equipment

Police and a victim of theft are asking the public for information regarding property stolen from the northwest community of Montgomery.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at approximately 2 a.m., an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle, a 2020 Porsche Macan S, while it was parked on the street of the 4700 block of 19 Avenue N.W. Several items were taken from the vehicle, including cardiac surgery equipment worth approximately $28,000.

The cardiac surgery equipment is highly specialized and mainly used for minimally invasive cardiac surgeries performed by only a handful of surgeons in Canada.
