Police seek public assistance to identify man and woman involved in assault

We are asking for the public’s help to identify a man and a woman believed to be involved in an assault that took place on Christmas Eve last year.

At approximately 11:40 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022, it is believed a group of people were inside their vehicle while it was parked outside the Highwood Community Association located at 16 Harlow Ave. N.W.

A family inside a nearby residence was disturbed by noise coming from the vehicle. It is believed two victims, a man and a woman, left their residence and attempted to approach the vehicle and ask the occupants to be mindful of the noise, when an altercation occurred.

It is alleged the occupants of the vehicle, a man and woman, then got out of the vehicle and began assaulting the victims which resulted in both victims being transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After reviewing CCTV footage, we are now asking for public assistance to identify two suspects.

The female suspect is described as approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5'6" tall, and 180 lbs, with a heavy build. She has dark, straight, collarbone-length hair with no bangs.

The male suspect is described as approximately 35 to 40 years old, 5’2” tall, with a medium build. He has dark curly hair and a small amount of facial hair on his chin.

Anyone with information about this incident or who knows the identity of the suspects is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
