Police seek public assistance in suspicious death in Crescent Heights

Our homicide detectives continue to investigate a suspicious death that occurred earlier this year in the community of Crescent Heights. Police are now looking to speak with a man who is believed to have information that could help further our investigation.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, police were called to the 200 block of 14 Avenue N.E., for reports of an unknown body that was found at an abandoned residence.

Following an autopsy completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the victim was identified as 55-year-old Rhonda WAITE, who also goes by Rhonda JOROSZEK.

Investigators believe the circumstances around the death to be suspicious and we are now asking for the public’s help to identify an unknown man believed to have information regarding WAITE’s death.

The man is described as approximately 25 to 40 years old, with a slim build and thin face, approximately 6’2” tall, with dark hair and dark eyes.
