Police seek public assistance in identifying suspects involved in an assault

We are asking the public for their help in advancing an investigation in relation to a stabbing that occurred last weekend in the northeast community of Cornerstone.

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m., police responded to reports of an assault in the 0 to 100 block of Corner Glen Row N.E. Upon arrival, a man in his 20s was located in medical distress and transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

It is believed two unknown men attacked the victim with a weapon outside of the residence resulting in serious injuries to the victim. The victim remains in hospital in stable yet serious condition.

The suspects are described as being in their early 20s, both with light complexions. One suspect is described as wearing a red hoodie and the other suspect is described as wearing a white or light-coloured hoodie. 

After reviewing CCTV footage, investigators are releasing images of the suspect vehicle which is believed to be a dark-blue 2008 - 2015 Infiniti EX35.

This is believed to be a targeted incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
