Police seek public assistance in identifying indecent act suspect

Members of the Calgary Police Service District 6 Community Engagement Response Team (CERT) are asking for the public’s help to identify an unknown man who is believed to be responsible for an indecent act that occurred last week in the city’s southeast.

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, at approximately 9:57 a.m., the suspect was seen at a bus stop on the east side of Macleod Trail north of Southland Drive S.E., when he exposed himself to oncoming traffic. It is believed the man then returned to his vehicle, a grey or silver 2002 Acura EL, before heading westbound along Southland Drive S.W.

The man is described as tall with a slim build, with dark curly or wavy hair, between 30 and 40 years old, wearing darker jeans and a black hoodie.

“Safety and public perception of safety is our priority as a Service,” says District 6 Inspector Scott Neilson. “Incidents such as this will not be tolerated in our community. Calgarians deserve to feel safe at all times in their communities.”
