Police seek public assistance in identifying hit-and-run suspect and vehicle

We are asking the public for their help in identifying the driver of a car who is believed to be responsible for a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that occurred earlier this year.

On Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, at approximately 10 p.m., the victim was walking in an alleyway in the 100 block of Rivercrest Circle S.E., heading eastbound, when it is believed a white four-door sedan driving westbound in the alley sideswiped the pedestrian and then fled the area.

The victim was able to call for help and was eventually transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

After exhausting all investigative avenues to identify the suspect and locate the vehicle, police are turning to the public in hopes of advancing the investigation.

The vehicle is described as a white Volkswagen Jetta.

Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage, or who may have information about this incident, is asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be left anonymously through Crime Stoppers:
