Police seek public assistance in identifying break and enter suspect

We are asking the public for their help in identifying a woman who is believed to be involved in a residential break and enter attempt that occurred earlier this month in the southwest community of Kelvin Grove.

On Friday, April 14, 2023, at approximately 12:35 p.m., an unknown man and woman were seen in a parked vehicle in an alleyway behind a residence located in the 900 block of Kerfoot Crescent S.W. A witness reported that the woman, who was driving the vehicle, honked the horn to alert the man who was allegedly attempting to break into the home.

The man then entered the vehicle and the two suspects fled prior to police arrival in a grey Acura MDX.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the incident. Investigators found signs of forced entry on the exterior door leading into the garage.

Police have identified the male suspect but are asking the public for their help in identifying the woman who was driving the vehicle. The woman is described as having black hair and was wearing black and gold sunglasses with a black long-sleeved T-shirt.

A composite sketch of the woman is available on The City of  Calgary Newsroom.

Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the woman is asked to contact police by calling police at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
