Police seek public assistance following theft of paramedic equipment

We are asking the public for assistance in identifying two people believed to be responsible for the theft of paramedic tools and equipment.

On Friday, Sept. 18, shortly before 6 a.m., someone accessed the personal vehicle of a Public Safety Unit paramedic, which was parked in the 100 block of Covebrook Place, N.E.

The suspect took a bag that contained paramedic equipment and uniforms.

We do not believe the paramedic’s vehicle was targeted, as some of the gear was found discarded nearby, and two people were recorded on CCTV attempting to open several other vehicles around the same time.

The first suspect was wearing a black motocross-type helmet and was carrying a blue cooler and large bag.

The second suspect was wearing a hooded sweater under a two-tone jacket with reflective strips on the wrists and shoulders. They were also carrying a backpack.
