Police seek information following early-morning shooting in Silverado

We are seeking information from the public following a shooting involving two moving vehicles that occurred in the southwest community of Silverado.

At approximately 2:05 a.m., on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, it is believed that an occupant of one vehicle fired multiple shots at another vehicle and its occupants in the area of Silverado Drive and Silverado Plains Link S.W., striking that vehicle at least once. Neither vehicle remained at the scene.

During the incident, a stray bullet struck the front window of a residence in the 300 block of Silverado Drive S.W., while another struck the windshield of an unoccupied vehicle parked along the street. No injuries were reported.

After speaking with witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage, investigators are now turning to the public for information to help identify the suspect vehicle and its occupants, as well as the victim vehicle and its occupants to confirm their well-being.

Investigators are seeking dashcam or CCTV footage from the area of Silverado Drive, Silverado Plains Link and Silverado Plains Close S.W., between 1:30 and 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, that may show individuals in the vicinity or vehicles matching the following descriptions.

• The victim vehicle is described as a small, dark-coloured hatchback with:
  • A burnt-out front driver-side headlight
  • Silver rims
  • Tinted rear windows
  • Possible damage to the driver-side or rear window
     
• The suspect vehicle is described as a small, black four-door car with dark-tinted windows.
