Police seek assistance to identify man involved in assault

We are asking for the public’s help to identify a man believed to be responsible for an assault at the Sunridge Mall Tim Hortons from last week.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the victim was using the men’s washroom at the Sunridge Mall Tim Hortons, located at 3580 20 Avenue N.E., when an unknown man approached and allegedly assaulted the victim for no apparent reason. The victim sustained injuries to his head.

The suspect then quickly left the washroom and fled the restaurant in a white vehicle.

After exhausting all investigative avenues to identify the suspect, we are now seeking assistance from the public.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, about 5’5” tall, with a moustache. At the time of the assault, he was wearing glasses and a blue top with a high-visibility construction vest.
