Police seek assistance to identify driver in pedestrian collision

We are seeking public assistance to identify a man believed to be involved in a pedestrian collision earlier this month.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at about 5:27 p.m., a woman and her six-year-old child were using a marked crosswalk at the intersection of McDougall Road and Ninth Street N.E., when they were struck by a Chevrolet Equinox. The driver stopped and helped the pedestrians but did not exchange information.

The mother and child suffered minor injuries.

Witnesses described the driver as a man between 40 to 50 years old with a dark complexion. The vehicle is described as a silver or light-coloured 2009 to 2017 model Chevrolet Equinox.
