Police seek assistance to identify downtown sexual assault suspect
We are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect believed to have sexually assaulted a woman in downtown Calgary.
On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the victim was in the process of renting an e-scooter at the Eighth Street S.W. CTrain station, located at 901C Seventh Ave. S.W., when an unknown man grabbed her from behind and proceeded to touch her in a sexual manner without consent.
The suspect is described as between 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build, brown eyes, black hair, and a short black beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark-framed glasses, a black hoodie and black track pants with white stripes.
