Police seek assistance in locating two men involved in armed robberies

We are asking for the public’s help to locate two men who are believed to have been involved in two separate robberies that occurred in March 2025. The first man, Matthew Kyle REYNOLDS, 36, is wanted on several warrants in relation to the incidents, and police are looking to identify a second man through the release of CCTV images.

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., it is believed the first suspect entered Jerry’s Smoke and Vape located at 504, 506 17 Ave. S.W.

He approached the counter and demanded merchandise while threatening an employee with a firearm. The man fled the shop with several products and entered the passenger-side of a 2017 white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, which proceeded to drive west along 17 Avenue S.W.

Through CCTV footage, it was determined a second man was present in the vape store during the robbery and is believed to be associated to the incident. Police are asking anyone with information in relation to his identity to come forward.

The second suspect is described as approximately 25 to 35 years old, approximately 5’11” to 6’1” tall, with a medium build and having a small amount of dark facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-green hoodie, a black LA Dodgers baseball hat, black pants and light-coloured shoes.

Approximately 15 minutes later, at 12:45 a.m., the first suspect is believed to have robbed another person outside the BMO located at 933 17 Ave. S.W., after the customer used the ATM.

The suspect threatened the victim with a firearm while demanding money and the victim’s cellphone. A small struggle occurred between the suspect and the victim before the victim was able to safely get away from the suspect.

The suspect subsequently fled in a 2017 white Dodge Ram pickup truck which was waiting, and drove south on Ninth Street S.W.

The victim flagged down officers shortly after to report the incident.

The Calgary Police Service Robbery Unit took over the investigation and have now identified the first suspect as 36-year-old Matthew Kyle REYNOLDS, who is wanted on Canada-wide warrants including robbery, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon and uttering threats in relation to these robberies. He is also wanted on a warrant for theft under $5,000 in relation to an unrelated incident.

REYNOLDS is believed to originate from Saskatchewan and is described as 6’5” tall, approximately 230 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be associated to a 2017 white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of REYNOLDS or who knows the identity of the second suspect is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. If either of the men are located do not approach and call 9-1-1 immediately. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
