Police seek assistance in locating suspect vehicle connected to possible assault

We are asking the public for their assistance in locating a vehicle that is believed to be connected to a possible assault that occurred last weekend in the southeast community of Forest Lawn.

On Sunday, April 2, 2023, at approximately 2:25 p.m., first responders were called to the 5000 block of 23 Avenue S.E. for reports of an unconscious woman who was found in an alleyway.

The woman was transported to hospital in life-threatening conditions, where she remains.

Officers have collected and reviewed CCTV footage of the area, showing a vehicle enter and leave the alleyway earlier that day at approximately 1 p.m., dropping off the woman.

Police are looking to speak to the driver of the vehicle, which is described as a 2014 - 2019 model black Hyundai Sonata with tinted windows and black steel rims. Photos of the car are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
