Police seek assistance in identifying property damage suspect

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying an unknown man in relation to one incident of property damage that occurred in July.

On Sunday July 1, 2018, at 10:53 p.m., an unknown man entered a Calgary Transit Shuttle Bus at the McKenzie Towne bus terminal, located at 52 Street and McKenzie Town Link S.E.

The unknown man demanded the bus driver begin driving the bus, but was told by the driver the bus is on a schedule and will continue on the route as scheduled. The man then began pulling on the “stop cord” continually, causing the driver to activate the emergency button on his radio to get help removing the man from the bus. The man then exited the bus, turned and kicked the glass door causing it to shatter. Estimated property damage is $3,000.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’10”, wearing a black baseball cap and a red T-shirt.
