Police seek assistance in identifying commercial robbery suspect

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify a commercial robbery suspect.

On Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at 10:38 p.m., an unknown man entered the Black Lion Pub and Eatery located in the 5400 block of Temple Drive N.E.

The man approached a waitress, produced a handgun behind the bar at the till and demanded “all the cash.” The suspect directed the patrons of the pub not to call the police, and then ran out the front door with an undisclosed amount of cash to a waiting vehicle and a driver. The suspect vehicle fled westbound on Temple Drive N.E.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be an older style white Jeep Cherokee with body damage to the driver’s front area.

The suspect is described as 25 – 35 years old, approximately 6’0’’ tall with a slim build. The man is last described as wearing sunglasses, a grey hoodie with the letters “REKLSS” in red writing across the front, gloves, dark pants and black shoes with white stitching and white soles.
