Police searching for man after sexual assault

The Calgary Police Service is investigating after a female in her mid-teens was sexually assaulted in the community of Woodbine.

Shortly after 6 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, the teenager was riding on the #56 bus when she noticed a man staring at her. The girl got off the bus at the intersection of Woodbine Boulevard and Woodmark Crescent S.W., and the man followed her.

After walking a short distance, the man approached the girl, lifted her skirt and attempted to take picture. He then fled on foot along Woodbine Boulevard.

The teen was not injured in the attack.

The suspect is described as Indigenous, in his mid-20s, 5’11” to 6’ tall, with a slim build. He was wearing light-blue ripped jeans, a green bomber jacket, a blue checkered hat with “Supreme” on it, and grey and orange Yeezy brand shoes.
