Police search for evidence related to homicide - HOWARD

Since our last plea to the public for information regarding the disappearance and subsequent murder of Tammie Doreen HOWARD, also known as ‘Irish’, we now have reason to believe that evidence related to her death may be located east of Calgary.

Irish was last seen in December 2016 and was reported missing by her family in April 2017, at which time a police investigation was initiated.

With the help of the public, and through our investigative process, we now believe that evidence related to Irish’s death may be located on Siksika Nation land.

We will be conducting a search today, Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, for potential evidence on Siksika Nation land with our partners from the Gleichen RCMP and the Calgary Search and Rescue Association, as well as members of our Missing Persons Unit and Public Safety Unit.

We would like to thank the Siksika Nation for allowing us to conduct our search.

The investigation into the murder of Irish is ongoing and we ask that anyone who has information regarding her disappearance or death to contact police.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
