Police respond to shooting in city’s northeast

We are investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning in the northeast community of Taradale.

At around 2:30 a.m., today, Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, we responded to reports of two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The men were struck while sitting in a vehicle in the 100 block of Tarawood Grove N.E. It is believed the suspects fled in a dark, newer-model pick-up truck.

Both men were transported to the hospital where they remain in critical condition.

No one is in custody at this time, however, investigators believe this shooting was targeted and there is no active risk to the public.

Investigators remain on scene canvassing the area for witnesses and CCTV.

As the investigation is in the early stages, no further details are available at this time.
