Police request public assistance to locate stolen jewelry
We are asking the public to come forward with any information regarding jewelry believed to be stolen from a passenger bus that arrived at the Calgary International Airport.
On Thursday, Aug. 16, 2023, a man was travelling to the Calgary airport on a Red Arrow bus. Upon arrival at the airport, it is believed someone stole a bag belonging to the man while the bus was being unloaded.
The bag is described as a grey Air Canada carry on and contained a jewelry collection worth approximately $20,000. The jewelry collection is primarily made up of turquoise and opal, artist-signed, Navajo pieces.
Stolen property can be reported online, at any district office or by calling the non-emergency line.
