Police look to identify Edgemont break and enter suspects

Our investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects in a break and enter incident that occurred in August.

On Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., it is believed two people forcefully entered a residence in the 200 block of Edgeview Place N.W., while the owners of the home were away. As a result, the homeowners reported multiple items missing including bank cards, identification documents, designer handbags and jewellery, all with an estimated value of $350,000.

It is believed that following the break and enter, the suspects used stolen identification to defraud local banks and businesses.

The male suspect is described as being between 25 to 35 years old, 6’ tall, with a medium to heavy build. At the time of the break and enter, he was wearing a grey and black Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hoodie, black baseball cap and a black, grey and red plaid scarf covering his lower face.

The female suspect is described as approximately 40 years old, 5’6” tall, with a medium build, and blonde, medium length hair. She is suspected of defrauding local banks and businesses on two separate occasions. At one location she was seen wearing a tan coloured trench coat, and at a separate location she was seen wearing a black Sons of Anarchy hoodie.

CCTV footage was gathered from the residence and local businesses involved, and photos of the suspects are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
