Police locate man connected to Bankview homicide

The Calgary Police Service has located Zachery Frederick RIDER, a man who was believed to have information on a homicide that occurred earlier this week in the community of Bankview.

On Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, a man walked into a Calgary Fire Department station on 10 Avenue S.W., saying he needed help for his roommate. Firefighters drove the man back to a home in the 1800 block of 17 Street S.W., where they located a deceased man and contacted police at approximately 1:30 p.m.

An autopsy completed on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, confirmed the manner of death was homicide and identified the victim as Richard PEMBER, 58, of Calgary.

RIDER was located at approximately 8:30 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, and is now being questioned by investigators.

Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance with trying to locate RIDER.
