Police investigating undetermined death in northwest Calgary

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is on scene and investigating after a body was located in the community of Banff Trail.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, we were called for reports of a man found unresponsive on a road near the intersection of 18 Avenue/Victoria Crescent and 20 Street N.W. Upon EMS arrival, the man was declared deceased.

Officers remain on scene and are canvassing the area for witnesses, CCTV footage and additional evidence to determine the circumstances that led to the man’s death.

The intersection of 18 Avenue/Victoria Crescent and 20 Street N.W., remains closed as the investigation continues.
