Police investigating undetermined death in Bowness

Our Homicide Unit is investigating after a body was located inside a residence located inside a residence in Bowness.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., today, Sunday, July 16, 2023, investigators were conducting inquiries at a residence located in the 7900 block of 36 Avenue N.W., in relation to an ongoing investigation. Upon a search of the residence, investigators located a woman’s body.

At this time, the death remains undetermined and the circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

Investigators have spoken with several witnesses and are in the process of collecting CCTV and conducting additional inquiries.
