Police investigating suspicious death in northwest Calgary

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating a suspicious death that occurred earlier today.

At approximately 1:10 p.m., on Friday, March 15, 2019, police were called to the Red Carpet Inn, located at 4635 16 Ave. N.W., for reports of a suspicious death. Upon arrival, a man was found deceased in one of the rooms.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and has been scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2019. Detectives from the Homicide Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
