Police investigating possible child luring

The Calgary Police Service is investigating after a teen girl reported that a man attempted to lure her into a vehicle in the community of Braeside.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., on Friday, June 23, 2017, the girl was on her way to school, walking in the area of Brabourne Road and Brookpark Drive S.W., when she was approached by a vehicle.

The girl told investigators that a man rolled down the passenger-side window of the vehicle and told her to get in. She refused and kept walking and the man continued to speak to her, telling her not to ignore him and that he wanted to speak with her. The girl then ran away as the man continued to yell.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s or 40s. He was wearing a ball cap. The vehicle is described as an older-model, dark-coloured, four-door sedan with tinted windows.
