Police investigating pedestrian collision in city’s southwest

We are investigating a collision that occurred between a vehicle and a pedestrian last night in a southwest apartment complex parking lot.

On Monday, July 19, 2021, at approximately 8 p.m., a 2010 Dodge Charger, operated by a 24-year-old woman struck a 41-year-old male pedestrian in the parking lot of the Fish Creek Pointe apartment complex, located at 2518 Fish Creek Blvd. S.W.

The man was knocked to the ground and run over by the Dodge. The car then continued through the parking lot and struck a small electrical outlet before coming to a stop.

The pedestrian suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

Alcohol is being investigated as a factor in this collision. Speed is not believed to be a factor.
